The curriculum in organizational leadership provides a broad leadership education that is applicable to understanding the nature and dynamics of any organization, with a classroom or on-line experience. Classroom experiences are focused on the development of skills in critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making.
The program is offered in a format designed for working adults. A one evening a week allows students to complete 48 credit hours in approximately 18 months as well as qualify for full-time status for financial aid purposes.
The program is delivered to cohorts of students, with a new cohort beginning when there are a sufficient number of students. Each cohort studies the same curriculum as a group and on the same timeframe. Because of the cohort format, transfer credit can not be substituted for any OL course. New cohorts start three to four times an academic year.

Admission Requirements
To qualify for admission, students must submit an application, $25 application fee, and “official” transcripts from any college or university attended. Applicants must have a minimum of 40 semester hours of college credit for transfer from a regionally accredited educational institution to the University with a minimum transferable GPA of 2.0. The student must be at least 25 years of age with at least two years of work experience. Students whose language is not English must also submit TOEFL scores.
Applicants who do not meet these requirements are considered on a case-by-case basis. Prospective students who do not yet have sufficient college credit to qualify for admission may be able to earn credit through Spectrum (the University’s integrated general education program), independent study, transfer credit, or proficiency examinations. It is also possible to receive credit for prior learning based on recognized certificates, licenses, diplomas, noncollegiate or corporate instruction, experiential learning, contract learning, and other professional training.
