Business Administration (B.S., A.S.)

The B.S. curriculum in business administration comprises 45 hours of business core courses, 18 hours of concentration requirements *(in business law, entrepreneurship, health care management, international business, logistics and supply chain management, management, marketing, office administration, office management, or public and nonprofit management), and a 30-hour senior capstone project in addition to 36 hours of general education requirements. The program provides the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to enter a professional business career or to pursue graduate study in business. The associate degree program in business administration includes concentrations in business law, entrepreneurship, management, marketing, office administration (with legal, medical, and secretarial tracks), and office management.

Business Core
The business core is made up of one 3-hour course from each of the following areas for a total of 45 hours:

Accounting I
Accounting II
Business Ethics
Cost Management
Economics
Financial Management
Human Resources
Management
Marketing
Organizational Behavior
Promotional Management
Supply Chain Management
Elementary Statistics
Applied Statistics

Capstone Project
The senior year of study is designed around a capstone project involving development of a personal portfolio. It includes a 15-hour practicum, three upper-level business electives, and a 3-hour strategy course.
